Pub, Pulpit..& Pitch
We were delighted to be invited to speak at the Luton Heritage Forum. There was a packed audience of 65 at Bushmead Community Hub to hear 'The Pub, The Pitch & the Pulpit -A Story of the Luton Irish', presented by LIF Comms Officer, Dr Elleesa Rushby. Great to see so many of the Luton Irish community supporting this event and that many non Irish regulars turned out to learn about the postive impact of Luton’s Irish community. The talk explored Irish spaces and how they have helped to maintain and grow Irish identity over the years, since post WW2 emigration took place.
