Volunteering Opportunity

Volunteer Shopper during Coronavirus pandemic – on hold

We had such a great response to this role that we have plenty of helpers for the moment. But that doesn’t mean you can’t do something for your neighbours yourself, see Neighbourly Volunteering video from Age UK and partners.

Befriender – phone service during Coronavirus

Our Befrienders are not visiting during Coronavirus but are in regular phone contact with every befriended person. We have also extended our phone befriending service to more members during this time.

Volunteering Opportunity

Fundraiser

Choose something you love doing or something you’ve always wanted to try – and use it to fundraise for us. Whether it’s long distance walking, shaving your head or jumping out of a plane – we can help your idea come to life and assist you in reaching potential sponsors.

Club Assistants

This role is to assist in organising our regular clubs, to welcome members and encourage participation in club activities. Several of our clubs are now running via Zoom, mainly co-ordinated by volunteers. Club Assistants also stay in contact with members and make reassuring phone calls.
