Digital Skills Support - RECRUITING NOW!

In this exceptionally rewarding volunteer role you'll be supporting local people aged 50+ to develop digital skills and so help them improve their chances of securing employment.

This is a great opportunity to enhance your own skills and gain relevant knowledge in a fast-growing sector while helping others. We're looking for volunteers who can commit to six hours a week over one or two days Monday to Thursday.

If you can you help with any of the following, get in touch for a chat. Look forward to hearing from you!

Providing classroom support during IT sessions and employability workshops.
Mentoring of participants, particularly focussing on applying for employment.
– Data inputting.
– Assisting with room set up, clearing and cleaning after sessions.

Befriender by Phone

A chat on the phone can make someone's day. Our phone befrienders stay in regular contact with local people who aren't getting out and about at the moment as much as they'd like. Volunteer as a  befriender and see the difference your phone calls could make.

Volunteer Shopper during Covid pandemic - on hold

We had such a great response to this role that we have plenty of helpers for the moment. But that doesn’t mean you can’t do something for your neighbours, watch the Neighbourly Volunteering video from Age UK and partners.

Fundraiser

Choose something you love doing or something you’ve always wanted to try – and enjoy it while fundraising for LIF. Whether it’s long distance walking, shaving your head or jumping out of a plane – we can help your idea come to life and assist you in reaching potential sponsors.

Club Assistants - on hold

This role is to assist in organising our regular clubs, to welcome members and encourage participation in club activities. We're not recruiting during Covid restrictions and at the moment, several of our clubs are running via Zoom, co-ordinated mainly by volunteers.
