Imagine LIF Trustee Tom Shanley's surprise when he searched for his family village on www.duchas.ie and saw his own Grandad, Thomas Patrick Shanley's handwriting, as a 13 year old!

Duchas is a digitised, searchable (by name/location) website full of Irish folklore, old trades and photos. Many were written by schoolchildren in the 1930s.
