Luton Irish Forum clubs are to reopen and are Covid Safe

Luton Irish Forum (LIF) announced at its AGM on Saturday 22nd August 2020 that the charity is re-opening its groups from Tuesday 1st September 2020.

Chair of Trustees Tom Scanlon said that LIF is starting with its Tuesday and Wednesday clubs. He added that many groups have been meeting via video link during the pandemic, but the Tuesday and Wednesday clubs, which attract an average of 50 older people per session, weren’t able to meet that way.

In line with Covid/Coronavirus guidance from the UK Government, Public Health England and Luton Borough Council LIF has made many changes. The measures introduced include a pre-booking system, extra sessions with restricted numbers, social distancing, a one-way system, sanitising stations and face coverings/personal protective equipment for attendees, volunteers and staff.
