Some 200 attended Luton Irish Forum (LIF) Members Christmas Party (Thursday 5th December) at The Celtic Club. Guests included Rachel Ingersoll from the Irish Embassy, Lord and Lady McKenzie and representatives from LIF partner organisations. Attendees enjoyed lunch to traditional music by John Devine, Robin Hodge, Paddy Curtain and Brian Burke, before dancing the afternoon away to tunes from our members favourite Eamon’s Country Sounds and lively dance teacher Eamonn Cunniss! The subsidised event also included a fundraising raffle with prizes donated by Gerry Taylor Irish Butcher and Grocer, The Pines Hotel, Robbys Cake Shop, Debenhams and LIF art group and welfare team.

As one Member summed it up: “A great afternoon, food, dancing to Eamon’s Country Sounds and the line dancing…thank you Irish Forum.”

We wish to extend our thanks to LIF volunteers for their tireless support and the staff and committee at Celtic Club for hosting such a memorable occasion.

Luton Irish Forum members enjoy a festive afternoon
